Diver’s is your destination in Middletown for Mulch! We have a large selection of both bulk and bagged mulches which we would be happy to load into your vehicle for you, or deliver to your home.
Bulk mulch is sold by the cubic yard. We have five varieties available:
Premium Hardwood (aka Black Gold) – A naturally dark hardwood mulch, shredded four times to be very fine.
Hardwood – A naturally dark hardwood mulch, the same material as Black Gold, only triple shredded so slightly more coarse.
Black Dyed – Dyed coal-black, this mulch holds its color very well. A little more coarse than the naturally colored mulches.
Red Dyed – A vibrant red mulch which holds its color well. A little more coarse than the naturally colored mulches.
Playground – A soft mulch well-suited for use around children’s play areas.
Popular bagged mulches are:
Black Platinum, a naturally dark triple shredded mulch, like Hardwood bulk mulch. 2 Cu. Ft. bags.
Scott’s red, brown, and black dyed mulches 1.5 Cu. Ft. bags

Pine Bark Nuggets and Mini Nuggets

In addition to mulches, we also stock bulk and bagged topsoil, and have a selection of bagged potting mixes and compost.
How much mulch do I need?
Mulch is typically applied to a depth of about 2″. 1 cubic yard of mulch will cover 160 sq. ft. 2″ deep. Measure length and width, in feet, of the area you would like to cover, and multiply to get an area in square feet. Then divide by 160 to see how many cubic yards you will need. We’re happy to help if you need assistance in figuring the amount of mulch you need!

Hi – I don’t think you have bulk pine bark nuggets of any kind, correct? And so by bag is there are discount at varied numbers of bags? Lastly, what is a delivery charge. THANKS!

We have the pine bark nuggets in bags only. I’m unsure about a quantity discount, if you’d like to give us a call when we’re open someone will be able to answer that. The delivery charge for bagged items delivered in Middletown and surrounding areas is typically $8, but may be up to $12 depending on the quantity ordered. Thanks!

Yes, we carry Miracle Gro Raised Bed soil in bags, and we also sell compost in bags. We have topsoil both in bags and bulk.

Last year it was $33.95 per cubic yard, we don’t have pricing yet this year but it will probably be close to that. And yes, we can load it in your truck, and we also offer delivery, which is currently $25 to Middletown and surrounding areas. We don’t have mulch in yet, but we should by the 2nd or 3rd week of March.

We do sell a nice quality bulk topsoil. It is $30 per yard and can be picked up or we can deliver. We also sell bagged compost and other soil amendments which can be added to enrich the topsoil depending on what you’ll be using the raised beds for.
